Nomad Sailing is owned and run by Jim Barden and his sister Lou. We have a practical base in Gosport and shorebased classrooms in London and the South-East.

'Check lines are free to run'

Furling line should be free to run and under control. Leeward sheet on the the winch (three turns). Release the furling line clutch and pay out the furling line under control as the sheet is pulled in. Avoid allowing the furling line to run fast and free as this may lead to riding turns within the furling drum.
